On TCM Tue 10/11/16-The Lavender Hill Mob (1951) -The great Oscar nominated here Alec Guinness is a meek bank clerk who smuggles stolen gold bars out of England with the help of foundry owner Stanley Holloway as miniature toy Eiffel Towers. Catch the scene where Alec (and us in the audience) get dizzy from descending the winding stairs of the real Parisian Eiffel Tower. And watch out for Audrey Hepburn (her first film) in a bit part.
